Bauen Build is part of a legacy of four generations of home builders.

Generation one started with John Brill in Stevens Point, WI in 1930. John built Sears Modern homes that families ordered from catalogs. The kit houses provided families with cost effective yet efficient homes for growing families.

Generation two and three continued with Marvin Brill and Mark Brill in Austin, MN in the 1960s. Marvin built custom homes with factory built components using energy efficient techniques that were uncommon at the time. Mark Brill continued to refine his craft through cabinetry and other fine woodworking projects.

Generation four continues with Matt Brill starting Bauen Build in 2019. Bauen build is founded on the legacy of fine craftsmanship in the Brill family. Matt brings an insatiable desire for perfection, an appreciation of technology to enhance home construction, and a genuine desire to create the highest quality and healthiest homes. Matt has an undergraduate degree in Business and a master degree in urban design from UC Berkeley.
